Nice session after weeks of kiting inactivity due to easterlies and northerlies. Arrived at at lunchtime and spent the entire afternoon on the mountain board - till driven off by the tide at about 7.30pm. Light winds during the afternoon but perfect with my 14m Cabrinha blacktip on the mountain board. Hardly anyone on on the beach and spring tide so made a couple of excursions right down to Borth lifeboat. The submerged forest is really showing well at the moment, but the sand is really washboarded in large areas. Had to take it real slow crossing those - real boneshaker on a mountain board. The last hour wind picked up to around 15 which was right on the edge with the landboard but would have been good for some practice on the water if only I'd brought a board.. Didn't because I spent the morning indulging another hobby and hence needed space in the car for an 80 inch span 45cc Edge450 model airplane!
I think diawill60 took some photos later in the afternoon when the other kiters has gone - I'd be interest in seeing those.
